Raymond R. Shuman

1940 - 2015

Raymond R. Shuman, 74, formerly of Winder Rd. Milton passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

 

Born in Milton on November 9, 1940; he was the son of the late Russell and Pauline (Kortner) Shuman.  He was married to the former Betty M. Middlesworth.  His death breaks a marital union of 26 years.

 

Ray was a graduate of the Milton High School and had served in the US Navy.  He had worked for Keister Construction.  He was a member of the Milton VFW.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five step children Randall Morgan of Hughesville, Lewis Renner of Milton, James Renner of Montana, Donald Renner of Fargo, ND and Cindy Winter of Hughesville; nine step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; one step great, great grandchild; two brothers Charles Shuman of Milton, and Frank Shuman of Montgomery; and three sisters Ann Hagenbuch of Milton, Mary Jane Sones of Muncy, and Erma Young of Milton.

 

He was preceded in death by a brother James Shuman.

 

Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 with the Rev John E. Lee officiating.

Condolences

I am Uncle Rays niece. I have many wonderful,fun, memories of him and Aunt Betty. He will be missed very much. May he rest in peace and have a grand reunion with his brother,Uncle Jim. Love you much. ♡♡
