Ralph M. Preyer Sr.

1944 - 2018

Ralph M. Preyer Sr. 74, of Milton and formerly of Garfield, NJ, passed away on August 2, 2018 at Geisinger Home Health and Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville, PA.  Born in Hackensack, NJ on July 4, 1944 he was the son of the late Rudolph and Ethel (Fuller) Preyer.  He was married on November 19, 1966 to the former Geri Kane who survives.

 

Ralph graduated from East Rutherford High School in New Jersey and worked as a mechanic at various auto dealerships in Bergen County, NJ.  Ralph served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He loved cars, especially old cars.   Ralph was a member of the Sea Hawk R.C. Club in Florida.  Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he enjoyed his time spent with his family.

 

He is survived by his wife, Geri two sons and daughters in law Ralph M. Preyer Jr. and Sheila Cawley of Savannah, GA and John E. Sr. and Tara Preyer of Milton, PA; a sister, Evelyn Preyer of Long Island, NY; two grandchildren, Alicia Preyer, and Johnny Preyer Jr.; a brother in law and his wife Edward and Diana Kane; a sister in law and her husband, Patricia and Warren Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Ethel Fantini.

 

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday August, 7 at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St. Milton where funeral services will be held at noon with the Rev. Christian Dunlap officiating.
