Mary K. Yost

1946 - 2020

Mary K. Yost, 73 of New Columbia Rd., New Columbia passed away on May 11, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.  Born in New Berlin on August 6, 1946 she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Catherine (Leiby) Maurer.  She was married on September 22, 1973 to Harry “Butch” Yost who survives.


Mary was a 1964 graduate of Mifflinburg High School and she earned her LPN certification at Williamsport Area Community College.  She was a nurse at Geisinger and with her husband owned Yost Cleaning.  She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in New Berlin.  Mary enjoyed time at the family cabin, relaxing in the pool, ice fishing, and running around with her classmates.  She liked to knit.


She is survived by her husband, Butch; a daughter, Heather Mulkusky and husband Bryan of Lewisburg; five brothers, Marvin Maurer of New Berlin, Ernest Maurer of New Berlin, Dale Maurer of Benton, Robert Maurer of Mazeppa, and Elmer Maurer of Winfield; a sister, Martha Hockenberry of New Berlin; and many nieces and nephews.


Services will be held at a later date.


In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Pennsylvania SPCA Central PA Center, 1467 Bloom Rd., Danville, PA 17821
