Kevin L. Fahey

1953 - 2019

                  Kevin L. Fahey of Milton, formerly of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on January 8, 2019, peacefully at his home after a long illness at the age of 65.  He was a loyal employee of PPL since he was 19, working at both Montour Power Plant and Brunner Island in various positions, retiring as plant operator a couple of years ago.  He moved to Puerto Rico to pursue his lifelong dream of sailing and philanthropic endeavors.  He loved the island and people so much he bought a home there and lived in the rain forest until illness forced him back to Pennsylvania.


            He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sabrina Gearhart, and 3 grandchildren, Desiree Fahey, Dalton Fahey, and Erin Gearhart, and others who called him ‘dad’ or ‘pap’.  He also leaves behind a brother, Brian Fahey (Pam), and sisters, Maureen Asper (Steve), Pat Keller, and Maria Fahey (Garth), along with a large extended family and many good friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and A. Ruth Fahey of Mechanicsburg.


            In his everlasting humanitarian efforts, he has donated his body for the advancement of medical knowledge for the next several years.  Burial in the future will be at the convenience of the family, however a memorial service will be held at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton on Saturday, February 9, with visitation beginning at 2 and a service following at 3.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Red Cross in honor of his lifelong mission to help those less fortunate.
