John E. "Booger" Lilley

1940 - 2019

John Emerson "Booger" Lilley, 78 years young, of West Milton, passed away on May 10, 2019.
He was born Sept. 21, 1940, at home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Lilley (Sheetz) and three children, Robin Lilley still at home, Brenda Lilley and her fiancee Chris Clayton of West Milton, and John Lilley and wife Crystal of West Milton; granddaughter, Bridget Ludewig and husband Charles of West Milton; grandson, Tyler Lilley and fiance Cassedy Rice of West Milton; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Paisley Ludewig of West Milton.

John was one of 15 siblings. He was greeted in passing by his mother and father, John and Mary (Baker) Lilley; and six siblings, Dorothy, Martin, Bill, Eva, Sandra, and Lee.

John is survived by eight sisters and four brothers-in-law, Joyce and John Satteson of New Columbia, Lois Cameron of Milton, Helen and Charlie Napp of New Columbia, Ethel Young of Vicksburg, Linda and Russell Bastian of Milton, Nancy Danowsky of West Milton, Phyllis Gharret of Milton, and Joan and Bruce Bennage of Milton.

John formerly work at the Watsontown Brick Foundry, B&W Disposal, Milton's former junk yard, and finally retired from American Home Foods after 36 years of service. John was an auto mechanic and auto painter in his spare time until his passing.

John enjoyed spending time with his family. His most favorite times were spent fishing with his son, John, grandson, Tyler, brothers-in law, and future son-in-law, Chris, making many memories in Canada and locally. His second favorite past time was being home holding his great-grandchildren, whom he lovingly called Bentley, pap paps boy, and Paisley, pap paps girl. They were the twinkle in his eye.

John was a man of greatness. He was always first to lend a hand or pitch in anywhere he could. If there was a good ole western or an Abbott and Costello show on TV you didn't disturb him. He tuned into that as they were his favorite shows to watch. John was a man of many talents. He never sat still. You could always find him puttering around or tinkering with something. His last project was a full boat rebuild with his son John Lilley. John enjoyed scraping with his grandson Tyler Lilley as a favorite past time. During the summer he enjoyed picking strawberries with his cousin, Howard (Beck) Lilley.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Ralph Unroe officiating.
Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's memory to Magical Memories, 121 Colonial Lane, Turbotville, PA 17772, for children with special needs and their families.

Condolences
