Howard M. Wilson

1930 - 2018

Howard M. Wilson, 88, formerly of Penn St., Milton, passed away on October 24, 2018 at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Lewisburg.  Born in Lewisburg on April 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Franklin D. and H. Edna (Zettlemoyer) Wilson.  He was married on December 5, 1958 to the former June Hanna who survives.

 

Howard was a graduate of Milton High School and served in the Air Force from 1951-1955.  He enjoyed working most of his life and worked for ACF, Shippers Car Line, and North Star Steel all in Milton, Lewisburg Builder’s Supply and Wal-Mart in Lewisburg before retiring in 2012.  He liked to carve duck decoys and was an avid duck hunter.  Howard enjoyed fishing with his granddaughters.

 

He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters and their husbands; Cindy and Charles “Bob” Snyder of Watsontown, and Vickie and Greg Kniss of Fort Wayne, IN; a brother, Donald Wilson of Muncy; four granddaughters, Angela Hertz Sten, Michelle Hertz McNichols, Courtney Kniss Lykens, and Erin Kniss Crawford; and five great grandchildren.

 

Following Howard’s wishes services will be held privately.
