Frank J. Boyer Jr.

1947 - 2018

Frank J. Boyer Jr. 71, of Chester Ct., Milton passed away on December 26, 2018 at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.  Born in Danville on January 15, 1947 he was the son of the late Frank J. and Evelyn (Peeling) Boyer.  He was married on May 29, 1969 to the former Georgia Heimbach who survives. 

 

Frank graduated from Danville High School in 1964.  He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during Vietnam, after which he worked for the CIA. Frank then went to work for Kennedy Van Saun in Danville, ConAgra in Milton and as a consultant at Metso in Danville.  Frank was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Milton and American Legion Post 71.  He enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends, attending auctions and public sales,  gardening and working outside.  Mostly,  Frank loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and attending his grandchildren’s events.

 

He is survived by his wife, Georgia; two sons, Frank “Shane” J. Boyer III and wife Stacy of Watsontown and George “Jason” Boyer and wife Rachael of Lewisburg; a sister, Barbara Shepperson of Delaware; and four grandchildren; Toby Boyer and wife Erin, Carly Boyer, Lydia Boyer and Liam Boyer, and his beloved pet, Tebow.

 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Donna K. Buchert.

 

Friends and relatives will be received from 10-11AM on Monday, December 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning St. Milton, followed by funeral services at 11 AM with the Rev. Carl Varner officiating.  Burial with military honors will be held in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
