Dale F. Lenig

1951 - 2015

Dale F. Lenig, 63, of Railroad St. Montandon; passed away on Tuesday, May 19 at the SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

Born in Sunbury on September 14, 1951; he was the son of the late Marlin and Dorothy (Mark) Lenig.  He was married to the former Kathy Miller Johnson.

Dale was a 1969 graduate of the Sunbury High School.  He had worked for Grumman Allied Industries, Rohrer Bus Services, and Diversified Treatment Alternatives.

He was a former Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leader for Troop 522 and Pack 3522. He coached soccer, enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles, especially word finds. He mostly loved spending time at his grandchildren’s activities with his family.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by two sons and daughters in law Jason and Rebecca Lenig of El Paso, TX, and Matthew and Chrissy Lenig of Milton; a daughter Kimberly Thomas and her companion Greg Edwards of Milton;  five grandchildren Brandon Thomas, James Thomas IV, Konnor Lenig, Carol Lenig and Riley Lenig; a brother and sister in law Terry and Deb Lenig of Milton; and a sister Gloria Persun of Watsontown.

Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, May 22 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 with the Rev. James R. Taylor, Chaplain of the Sun Home Health and Hospice officiating.  Burial will follow in the Montandon Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Dale’s name may be made to the Sun Home Health and Hospice, PO Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857.
